We went up to Point Plommer for October school holidays with everyone. Sydnee learned how to ride her bike without the training wheels, she lost a tooth and surfed with daddy a lot. I learned that I can "camp" and I'm not too bad at it. It was heaps of fun with everyone.

As much as it pains me to put these on, the building is really cool. This is the one of the Mormon Churches at Temple Square. We had mormon gilrs witnessing to us and what I don't get is how Mormons can say god talked to Joseph Smith and told him all this stuff and he was a prophet and then they say they use the bible and they believe in Jesus, which clearly they can't because if they did then what about the rest of the bible after Jesus dies......the part where he is coming back??? Weird stuff. It was cool to see but it gave me the heebie jeebies even being anywhere near it.

Netball has begun!!! woohoo for our US friends, google it, its kinda like basketball, but you can't move with the ball.....actually its not like basketball, but its cool. Sydnee plays on the Hotshots, which are 8 year olds, but a few almost 7s in there. Its a great team and I am the Team Manager and April is one of the coaches. We were lucky enough to get Bec to ump their first game last Saturday.

We started the paddock/stable areas for Trigger. Our good friend PEte came out with one of his guys and bored the holes, put the fence posts and stable posts in for us all day yesterday! This is our damn at the bottom of our property. Its all fenced in for safety and its really COOL! Larry wants to build a little dock over it and put trout or something in it and fish with Sydnee. They guy that mows our lawns says there are eels in there? We'll open the gate soon as that part of the fence will be Triggers paddock.

We went down to The Entrance this past weekend, its just a few Ks down the road, they have this cool little water area for kids to play on, then they feed the pelicans every day at 3:30, its kinda lame, but if you come visit we'll take you as you have to see it. Then on the way home we spotted some ocean baths. They are pools cut into rocks and the ocean fills them up when its high tide or big surf. They're really cool and Sydnee had a quick dip.

These are a few pictures of the new house. Theo ne with all the wood being offloaded is the wood for Triggers, stable and fence. View from my front door to the main road we are off of, there will be a big gate and fence down there soon. Looking up from the damn, those posts are for the stable. Frangipani by the front door. Then the one with the trees, see the white specs, they are cockatoos, they are wild here and we have about 30-50 that fly around at night, like right now, they are so loud and driving the dog crazy!

I have to admit being in the HOT HOT is weird for Christmas, although in San Diego it wsan't that cold. We spent Christmas eve at church, which we just opened our new church which has been in the process for years. Being part of that was awesome. Anyway....after that we opened Family presents, some from the US which were a huge hit with Sydnee and then on to Christmas Morning at the Mills for brekky and then off the the Pennicooks and Pinsaks for lunch and heaps of fun. We had lunch and crochet and present opening. It was a blessing to us to feel so loved at this time when we could of been so sad. :) Then off to the Browns place in Cresent Head.....

Church Christmas Carnivale

we had our church carnival last Sunday, with Christmas Carols and of course the sausage sizzle BBQ. There was face painting, games and fairy floss (cotton candy). It was a really fun night and the cool thing about it was that our church is at a school and we have been building a new church, so this was the last event at the school as we finished the church and get to go this weekend.

Kindy Performance at Chapel

Today Sydnee's class along with another Kindy class had their "performance" at Chapel. They did the story or Moses and Pharoh. The kids in blue where the Sea parting and the girl in red is the burning bush. Sydnee was a disco dancer and sang the chorus "Pharoh, Pharoh, Let my people go, ya ya ya ya" aling with the part that tells the story (sing the Animal House movie song "louie Louie" and you get the tune). Unfortunately, I am stil llearning how to use this flash so most of the pictures are just terrbile, but you get the idea :)

We were going to this cool spot and got to drive on the beach and then through a river outlet and I got so excited, that I ran to the car, forgot the camera, forgot my towel and Syd's and didn't get any shots. Go figure. But I did get to drive on the beach and through water and was soooo excited I Could not stand it.

We had so much fun. The kids were so into it and we even had some trick or treaters, they LOVED the American Lollies (from gramma and grampa - tootsie pops). It was also my birthday and housewarming all wrapped up in one. We drank champagne and some red and watched the whales with their babies off the deck. it was a wonderful night filled with fun and friends. thanks again Bec for taking all the pics!

Literally MILLIONS.....they were everywhere. It was low tide and they were inteh rocks, on the beach, all over and slippery and slimy. the are clear with blue inside, these are the ones that washed up on the beach and they girsl were playing with them. This morning they were all gone and the beach was clean again.

Yesterday after school we walked down our path to the beach........April showed up a few minutes later. She lives 2 doors away and goes to school with Sydnee. her family and ours are great friends. its such a blessing having them right by us. April is like a big sister to Sydnee and car pools with us in the mornings too school too, so you'll probably be seeing a lot of her in my pictures. The girls went for a swim and played dolphin in the ocean. Sydnee ADORES April.

The other is April and Sydnee walking back up, and again you couldn't even see to the left or right of them, you actually had to knock bush out of your way to walk up the path. We had a crazy lightning storm again tonight, like the past 3 nights. But tonight we got a full on double rainbow over the ocean, I just couldn't get the whole thing in the picture. It was GORGEOUS!!!!

Wow looking at it today was so different. Normally you could not see all the way to the beach. There is a path that leads down to the beach that you can see now too, before it was hidden away with trees and brush.

The fireman were here all day and took a much needed rest on the bluff and watched the surf. Larry was down there surfing at the time too.

Talk about a wild Saturday! We woke up to a mini dust storm and no sooner did that clear when the hill started burning. you can see straight down to the beach, it burned everything. The fire was about 20 feet from our fence if that.

that is the beach below us :) Koda is enjoying her new home and so are we. We're so blessed to be living in this gorgeous place. I really do pinch myself every morning when I'm looking at the ocean. This morning I was talking to Larry (he's in Melbourne) and telling him the surf was looking good and there were about 10 guys out and then I realized it was a pod of dolphins.

Since the sun rises over the ocean it was hard to see. And after that horrible dust storm yesterday, today was a gorgeous day.

We finally moved into our house. What more can I say except the view is incredible. The house is big, but the bedrooms are super small. The garage is small, my landcruiser won't fit in it. We can check the surf, watch the whales and walk down our own path to the beach. Our things are still in transit, so as soon as they are here, I'll post more pictures. I bought some new furniture and we have that along with our appliances. Koda comes home on Tuesday!

Today at school they had their book fiar and all the kids had to dress from a character from a book, luckily we had a tutu in our suitcase and she was angelina ballerina :) After the parade of Kindy through year 6 (which took 1 1/2 hours of them on stage) they got to gt their faces painted, decorate cookies and lots of other fun games for .20 or .50 each, Sydnee got her face painted as a Cat. The one picture of the man in the fairy costume is a teacher there and then the one with the kids on stage, the 3 ones to the far left are boys. Sydnee got to pillow fight with this nice boy who was probably year 4 and he let her win, it was really sweet. Then the picture with Betty (flintsontes) is Sydnee's teacher Mrs. Boyd, whoc normally has blond hair.

We went by the Pinsak House on the way home from church on Sunday. Dean has been finishing a chicken pen/coop and there is this cool tree in there that Sydnee is learning to climb. One of the things I love here is there is so many cool things to do outside that that is where we spend most of our time.

Spoon Bay

We went to Spoon Bay Saturday, its about 3 blocks from our house and the tide was out so the tidepools were exposed. There is a cool cliff you can walk up to as well and it will eventually take you to our backyard. I can't wait to get my other computer with the editing software on it so I can play with the pictures more. It was a bit windy and about 60 degrees, remember its winter here.

It was today! We had her tested and should probably could of gone into 1st grade here, but she would of been the youngest and they figured that she would not be bored in Kindy so that is where we put her. T his is her dress uniform that she wears twice a week, then three times a week she gets to wear her sport uniform. When 4th term starts she switches dress to the Summer Dress uniform, which is a cute little dress. They must wear their hats at all times outside. When we got to school today there was a group of girls, saying "oh look that is Sydney and kinda looking at her". Miss Sydnee instantly because the shyest thing I have ever seen, it would of shocked you all. Then the "buddies" who are in year 6 came along and whisked her away to make friends and introduce her around. Sydnee's buddy is Christina (i think that is her name) and she will show up before school, lunch, recess and help Sydnee if she needs it. Its really cool. I figure after today she'll be right (Oa saying which means she'll be alright or she'll be good). More pictures to come soon, we're on limited internet here so its hit and miss for us. Love you all.

Well it has come, we are finally on our great adventure to Australia. Its been a long time coming and we are so thrilled! A wonderful family bought our home and I hope they have as many wonderful memories as we did. Its nice to know it will stay a "home" to someone. I meant to take more pictures, but I just couldn't. It was hard seeing my life packed up in my house in brown boxes and wrapping. I did manage to get the containter...well one of them....that has our household in it. The other - Larry's toys :) Boat, surfboards, kayak, etc. The container left on Weds....Larry left on Tuesday and Koda on Weds. Sydnee and I are visiting my parents in Utah for a week. I know a lot of you have asked what is going on.....well a lot. First of all Larry's father passed away last Wednesday at 80. He went in for a routine procedure to have some wires replaced on his difibulator and his heart stopped and they could not get it to start again. We're all very saddened by this and miss him so much. The good news is he is in heaven with his wife dancing and looking down on all of us every day. Sydnee keeps asking God to tell him Hi for her and when she prays she always says "I Hope Grampa is being good up there and learning things". Its so sweet. Here are a few older pictures I could find on my computer. I'll be posting more in the next few days.

The Living Nativity

We were a part of The living Naticity at our church this year. It was so amazing. Larry was a marching Roman Soldier and I did the bakery area and Sydnee hadned out bread to the people waiting in lines with me or the other kids. It touched us more than I can tell you and being a part of it as a family was the most incredible experience. These pictures I did not take, they came from our church photographer who is amazing and here is a slide show you don't want to miss.
