The day after the fire

The girls watching the fire on our deck and yes Sydnee is still in her jammies!

Wow looking at it today was so different. Normally you could not see all the way to the beach. There is a path that leads down to the beach that you can see now too, before it was hidden away with trees and brush.

The fireman were here all day and took a much needed rest on the bluff and watched the surf. Larry was down there surfing at the time too.

FIRE FIRE FIRE

Talk about a wild Saturday! We woke up to a mini dust storm and no sooner did that clear when the hill started burning. you can see straight down to the beach, it burned everything. The fire was about 20 feet from our fence if that.

Halloween Dress!

My mom made this super cute dress for Sydnee and her doll. Since Halloween isn't big here, this is our only outfit for it :)

Koda, Sydnee & Larry taking a swim

that is the beach below us :) Koda is enjoying her new home and so are we. We're so blessed to be living in this gorgeous place. I really do pinch myself every morning when I'm looking at the ocean. This morning I was talking to Larry (he's in Melbourne) and telling him the surf was looking good and there were about 10 guys out and then I realized it was a pod of dolphins.

Since the sun rises over the ocean it was hard to see. And after that horrible dust storm yesterday, today was a gorgeous day.

A few more zoo pictures!

The girls had so much fun. Aurora is 5 and her sister Leif is 3. I loved watching them play and look at the creatures with so much excitement. It was a wonderful day!

Zoo Pictures!

OK seriously, this zoo has the best views. I honestly could hardly watch the bird show or look at the Mountain Goats. Look at their views! And the baby elephant Luk Chai was so cute, but his parents kept blocking him from our view (and pictures).

Some pictures of our house

We finally moved into our house. What more can I say except the view is incredible. The house is big, but the bedrooms are super small. The garage is small, my landcruiser won't fit in it. We can check the surf, watch the whales and walk down our own path to the beach. Our things are still in transit, so as soon as they are here, I'll post more pictures. I bought some new furniture and we have that along with our appliances. Koda comes home on Tuesday!
